http://www.orthopedicmassagetherapy.org/workshops/
This course is an invitation to changing one's relationship to pain and stress. it is intended for everyone including those not seeking continuing education credits but who are seeking to learn more about self care, increasing body awareness, deprogramming old patterns and establishing new patterns of movement, thought, and behavior.
Yoga, meditation, Thai yoga massage are utilized as tools of both self care and to enhance the skill set of the practitioner. As one connects to self and partner, recognizing the union/rhythm/dance, then one can move into more functional techniques offered from an Orthopedic perspective.
This is a great class to introduce yourself to the mind-body connection if you are coming from a strictly concrete and linear approach to Orthopedic and Western bodywork.
Please Bring:
Yoga mat
Food to share for the community lunch. Nothing that has to be refrigerated vegan/vegetarian only. No Dairy. No Meat. Lunch is part of the CE certification as we will be introducing you to "Mindfulness" eating as a part of cultivating the self nurturing/mind body connection to self. Please bring something to share. This course will be on the ground, on yoga mats. Potentially outside.
Optional:
