HMTI was everything I wanted my massage school experience to be. ALL of my teachers were always willing to help even beyond their scope as teachers (and more so advisors) during and outside of class to help in any way possible. I still keep in touch with some of my teachers and they continue to guide me in my career, tough choices and situations, and guidance for future possibilities for advancement. The classes were small and the teachers genuinely cared about presenting the holistic side of massage to their students. I am currently an LMT in Maryland after completing all exams, applications, and fees. The administration staff, especially Mary, helped me even after I graduated to ensure that all the steps were complete to have my license and be ready to practice. She was a HUGE help and always answered all my questions in a timely, professional manner. I am currently offering Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Vedic Thai Yoga massage in Baltimore, MD out of my home. I work at Social Security currently during the day. I am in the application process of becoming dually licensed in Florida and plan to move there, continuing my career in massage in order to successfully leave the government. If you have any questions about the school or massage in general, feel free to contact me at 410-259-6546. PEACE and NAMASTE! http://www.pazmassage.net/ |

My experience at Holistic Massage Training Institute was better than I could have imagined. I started school hoping that I was making the right decision to dive into a field I knew little about, with nothing more than a gut instinct.I left school with in-depth knowledge of the body and of massage, knowing that not only had I made the right career choice, but that my decision to attend Holistic Massage Training Institute was definitely the right decision as well. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to support students, in and outside the classroom. Small class sizes give instructors the opportunity to have a lot of hands on time with each student. They teach not only technique and anatomy, but also how to develop your own intuition and instinct. I graduated well prepared to take the national and state exams which I passed with flying colors. I have my own massage practice, InTouch Healing, in Annapolis and I also work part time at a very busy high end salon and spa. what got me the job was the variety of skills that made me stand out from others during my massage interview/audition. I recommend Holistic Massage Training Institute to anyone who is interested with the utmost confidence that they will love it as much as I did. Sharon says: “I really enjoyed Holistic Massage Training Institute because it was small, and I received any help I needed. I feel like I graduated with the necessary skills to be a qualified massage therapist. Not only did I enjoy the experience at Holistic Massage Training Institute but after graduation, Janine (the program Director) has continued to keep in touch with me and has helped with employment opportunities. I would recommend Holistic Massage Training Institute to anyone, payment plans are easy and affordable.” A few days a week, Sharon does massage for patients, parents and nurses at Kennedy Krieger, an internationally recognized pediatric rehabilitation clinic for children and adolescents with disorders of the brain and spinal cord. In addition, she has a private practice in Westminster, MD. If you would like to make an appointment with Sharon, she can be reached at 410-596-7956. |
